About

New Tonic’s sound is built on a riot of influences — from the Trojan greats of the late ’60s and early ’70s, through the punk explosion, and into the new wave shake-up of 2Tone, white reggae and dub, with a nod to Britpop along the way. It’s all stitched together with their own melodic, hook-filled twists that keep things fresh, punchy and unmistakably New Tonic. On a mission to reinvigorate the scene, New Tonic have already hit stages at the Isle of Wight Festival, The Cavern Club (Liverpool) and The Dublin Castle (Camden). They supported Bad Manners on their 50th Anniversary Tour and shared bills with Lynval Golding and The Specials Family at Specialized UK. Behind the kit, drummer and songwriter Keith has previously toured with Bad Manners, while Liam (keys) has toured with Neville Staple. This year sees the band performing at Victorious Festival in Portsmouth, alongside headline slots at several festivals and appearances at well-known venues. Recently voted the No.1 Ska Band in the UK & Ireland in a national online poll, New Tonic are rapidly earning a reputation for electric, high-energy live shows — and quickly becoming essential viewing. New Tonic Happy to be influenced, not to be labelled.
